U of A Admission Fall 2020 (update)

Child Development Assistant, Child Care Orientation Course is a free non-credit course for students at least 16 years of age. This course reviews aspects of early childhood development and the role of the caregiver. Visit for more information. 


Concordia University of Edmonton is accepting applications for Undergraduate Admission 2020-2021. Please consult their website for specific application deadlines. For more information on admissions contact or one of the program specific Admission Advisors.  

Fraser Institute Student Essay Contest

Showcase your ideas on public policy and the role of markets by entering the Fraser Institute's student essay competition. Three prizes of $500, $1000, $1500 designated for high school students. Submission deadline is June 1, 2020 Topic: The Ideas of Milton Friedman: Exploring the Connections between Economic Freedom and other Freedoms or Aspects of the Human Condition. The University of Alberta will accept an official transcript issued by the College Board as equivalent to a final transcript issued in previous years for the purposes of awarding transfer credit. View additional details at

Other Universities accepting AP scores as they have in the past include: Carleton, Dalhousie, McGill, Ryerson, St. Mary's, Simon Fraser, Toronto.

Athletic scholarships

There are ASAA Scholarships available to student athletes. There is a scholarship for Pay it Forward, Alberta Milk and Unified Athletics. Please follow the link to Alberta Schools Athletic Association for more details and to apply.

Geek Squad Academy

Geek Squad Academy Online Learning is a free educational program that shows young learners the wonders and opportunities that technology holds. Check out the free Tech Courses for Kids 10 to 16.
