OnSIDE Courses

 
On Student's Individually Directed Education

OnSIDE meets the needs of students who:

  • wish to carry more/different courses than the regular timetable allows;
  • are unable to attend all classes regularly due to illness, sports and work commitments or other personal reasons;
  • require a less structured environment to achieve academic success;
  • need to make up credits for high school graduation.

Students take courses using materials prepared by Alberta Education or the teacher.

EQUINE STUDIES  (5 CREDITS)

Those who are familiar with horses recognize and understand the power of horses to influence people in incredibly powerful ways.

Equine Studies is offered both semesters as a scheduled course (Monday 12:15 - 1:20 p.m. in class and Tuesday and Thursday at the Equine Facility 1:30 - 4:00 p.m.) The Equine program consists of one in- class session and two sessions at the Equine Barn location. Developing relationships, horsemanship instructions and understanding the history, safety and care involved with horses affects the students in a positive manner. Fee is $500.00.
