Choral Music 10/20/30  (3 Credits)
A wide range of choral music is studied and performed including Jazz, Christmas, Pop, and music from other cultures and languages.
 
Instrumental Jazz Band 15/25/35  (3 Credits)
Students must have a prior knowledge of a band instrument.  Jazz Band will be offered if enrollment is high enough.  The Jazz Band is made up of trumpets, trombones, saxophones, piano, bass, and drum set.  Music studied will be from the Jazz and Rock styles.
 
Instrumental Music 10/20/30 (3 or 5 Credits)
Students must have experience in one of the following instrument families:  Brass, Woodwind, or Percussion.

The instrumental music program stresses the development of performance skills through many different styles of music.  There are mandatory performances and a spring tour.  The tour is a highlight of the year but is optional.  After-school rehearsals are occasionally scheduled to allow students to partiicpate who are not able to fit this course into their schedule.

Note: Instruments are available for rent from the school.
General Music 10/20/30  (5 Credits)
This course will allow students to learn music theory, music history, and composition.  There will be opportunities in this course for students to compose their own music and possibly have it performined the in the Instrumental Music 10/20/30 course!

Rock & Pop Music 15/25/35  (5 Credits)
Students must have prior knowledge of at least one of:  Bass, Guitar, Drums, or Keyboard.

This course will give students the opportunity to begin a rock band.  Period societal influences on music eras and styles, performance etiquette, basic instrument theory, and rock band resources, are the major focuses of this course.  Students must provide their own instruments.
