More About Me
I graduated from Ardrossan Jr./Sr. High School with a Bilingual Diploma in 1998.

I then completed a four year Bachelors of Education (BEd – Secondaire) from the Campus Saint Jean – U of A.

My passion for working with youth came to me at an early age as I volunteered each year of my Scouts Canada career to work with the participants from the lower age group than my own.  Through my High School and University years, I worked with a variety of Youth Summer Programs including the Boysdale Camp out of North Edmonton, and the Tim Hortons Children’s Foundation Camps in both Parry Sound, Ontario and Kananaskis , Alberta .  These experiences solidified my passion for working with youth in a variety of age groups and spurred me on to pursue my Education Degree.

Another of my passions is towards the French Language.  I am an Alberta French Immersion Program Graduate who has spent his entire school career, from Kindergarten all the way through to University and beyond, learning and perfecting his French language skills. I thus strongly believe in the value of bilingualism and the exploration of all facets of the exciting French language.  I try to transmit and instill this passion in all of my students through the variety of activities and discussions included as part of my classes.  I like to think of language learning as a continuous lifelong adventure so do not be surprised if I stop your son or daughter in the hallways, on the street, or at a store and converse with them in French.  This is one way for me to extend language learning beyond the confines of my classroom walls.

I have been teaching now for six years and I still love coming to school each and every day.  This is primarily due to the amazing students that I have the pleasure to teach and coach on a daily basis year after year.  Throughout my teaching career I have been privileged to share in the lives of so many fabulous young minds and I truly look forward each year to the upcoming discussions and writings that my students will put forth.  In addition, I am blessed with the opportunity to coach with the Paul Kane Football Team as well as the Girls Rugby Team.  I am also the Teacher Advisor for the local chapter of Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD).  These are all wonderful ways in which I am able to meet many of my students on a different level beyond the classroom.

I look forward to meeting you in the near future … I sincerely hope to “PAINT IT BLUE” with you here at PK.

PK ROCKS !!!
