 Welcome!

Bienvenue!

Welcome to the opportunities available at Paul Kane High School.  At Paul Kane, we are committed to the concept of a professional learning community.  Together, we will do whatever it takes to ensure success.

We offer a series of specialized programming that is designed to meet the needs of all students coming in to our school from all walks of life.  Advanced Placement, French Immersion, Blues Leadership, OnSIDE, Full Year 10, English as a Second Language, and International Student are additional specialized programs available to students.

Located on a large playing field which includes facilities for baseball, soccer and football, Paul Kane High School is next door to Fountain Park indoor swimming pool.  St. Albert's track and field facility is within walking distance of the school.

We look forward to working with you this year.

HomeLogic

Would you like access to your Son's or Daughter's Timetable? Attendance? Outstanding/Paid Fees?

HomeLogic is a communication tool used at Paul Kane that enables parents to access their child's timetable, marks, and attendance history online from home or at work.  Many parents are already using this program, and we encourage all parents to try it out.  From outside the school, check out the link at http://pkintranet.spschools.org/homelogic/.  From within the school, check out the link at http://pkweb1/homelogic/sdefault.asp.

If you have not already signed up for Home Logic, please email Shirley Bowles or Linda Cassidy for your access code and instructions.

If you are at the school please drop by Room 208 to receive your login and password.

SCHOOL YEAR 2009 - 2010

Just starting your summer vacation and we want to remind you about Back to School already!

All the information you will need is included in your July mail out.  Paul Kane does not hold a formal "registration day" prior to the start of school.  Instead, on Friday, August 28 new grade 10 students are invited to a Welcome to PK between 10:00 and 11:30 a.m.  We'll begin at 10:00 with short speeches in the cafeteria.  From 10:15 to 10:45 you are welcome to wander around and find your classrooms, meet and chat with your teachers.  At 10:45, return to the cafeteria for some treats and catch up with friends.

The first day of classes will be Monday, August 31 with a "staggered entry plan."  Grade 10 students will begin at 8:00 a.m. and grade 11 and 12 students will begin at 11:15 a.m.  Busing has been arranged accordingly.  A bus schedule will arrive with your bus pass.
